WHAT IS SANTACON?
SantaCon is a mass gathering of people dressed in Santa Claus and other holiday costumes parading publicly on streets and in bars in cities around the world. The focus is on spontaneity and creativity, while having a good time and spreading cheer and goodwill.
Sometimes known as Santarchy, SantaCon incorporates elements of a flash mob in the context of cheerful bawdy and harmless behavior, the singing of naughty Christmas carols, and the giving of small gifts to strangers.
Santarchy takes place in major cities all over the world involving tens of thousands of Santas. It is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious & non-sensical celebration of holiday cheer, goodwill, and fun. There is no good reason to dress up in cheap Santa suits, run around town, give gifts, sing songs, have strangers sit on our laps, and decide who is naughty or nice — but it’s a lot of fun — so Santa does it anyway. Everyone loves Santa and Santa loves everyone!

You MUST dress like Santa(or some other magical fantastic holiday creature or spirit),
you SHOULD ho-ho-ho like Santa,
you OUGHT TO give out gifts like Santa and (of course)
YA GOTTA drink like Santa.
